Amenities: Located in the heart of downtown, Nelson Lakeside Park is on Long Lake and features a public boat launch, fishing pier, a swimming beach, a picnic shelter with tables, grills and picnic tables around the park, playground equipment, and is home to the Long Lake Veterans Memorial. The picnic shelter may be reserved – click here to download the standard reservation form. Please call the Long Lake City Clerk at 952.473.6961 x1 in advance to be sure the date you would like to reserve is available.  Considering Nelson Lakeside Park as a potential site for a larger public attendance event?  Contact the City Clerk for more information on applying for a Special Event Permit.  Special events must apply at least 45 days in advance of the event date.

Swimming Beach: The public swimming beach at Nelson Lakeside Park is open during park open hours. No lifeguards are on duty, and swimming is at your own risk. Please note that dogs are not allowed to swim in the swimming beach area.

Holbrook Park

Address: 310 Harrington Drive

Amenities: Holbrook Park features a ballfield and bleachers; hockey / pleasure skating rinks and a warming house open seasonally during the winter months; a seasonal dog park in the hockey rink area during spring, summer and fall; a half-basketball court, playground equipment, picnic tables and grills. Skating facilities (not including the warming house) may also be reserved if the proposed date and time of use do not conflict with regular public open skate hours of the hockey and pleasure skating rinks – reservations would need to be for a morning on a weekend, and the reservation end time would need to be before 12:00 noon. Seasonal Off-Leash Dog Park: The hockey rink area of Holbrook Park doubles as an off-leash dog area during the warmer months of the year. All dogs that use the park’s off-leash dog area must be current on licensing with their city of residence and on vaccinations. Rules for use are posted near the entrance to the off-leash area.

Hardin Park

Address: 141 Glenmoor Lane

Amenities: Hardin Park offers tennis courts, a basketball court, playground equipment, picnic tables and benches, a shelter, a bike repair station, and access to walking and biking trails. Dexter Park
